Gloria Festival 2027 is an international choral competition in Prague welcoming choirs from across Europe and beyond. As part of the Musica Orbis Festivals, it provides professional adjudication, structured competition categories, and performances in prestigious historic venues in Prague. The spring edition takes place from 2 to 4 April 2027.
The competition was established in 2021 in response to growing interest among Czech and Slovak choirs seeking a competitive format within the Musica Orbis framework. Since then, the festival has steadily expanded and attracted choirs from multiple European countries.
Over the following editions, Gloria Festival has built its reputation as a respected international choir competition in Prague, combining artistic excellence, professional evaluation, and the inspiring cultural atmosphere of the city.
Festival program at a glance:
Day 1, opening concert. A festive start to the festival, where the participating choirs perform together for the first time and set the tone for the whole weekend.
Day 2, competition and awards ceremony in the Martinů Hall. The main competition day, with expert jury evaluation in one of Prague's most beautiful concert halls, concluding with the awards ceremony.
Day 3, St. Vitus Cathedral and a river cruise. The highlight of the festival, singing together in the extraordinary space of St. Vitus Cathedral, followed by a closing cruise on the Vltava where choirs forge new musical friendships.
